The Belgrade City Council held a brief meeting on June 15, 2026, approving two action items with no public comment. The council unanimously adopted the consent agenda, which included findings of fact for the Yukon Commercial Minor Subdivision. Mayor Mike Meis's recommendations for advisory board appointments also passed unanimously. Diana Perry and Clint Steadman were reappointed to the Parks Board, while Leslie Madsen and Riley McDonald were appointed to the TIF Advisory Committee. Deputy Mayor Renae Mattimoe was reappointed to continue serving on the Parks Board.
All three appointees spoke briefly to the council about their interest in serving. Riley McDonald, an architect, expressed enthusiasm about bringing more projects to downtown Belgrade through the TIF District. Diana Perry noted the board is "gaining speed," while Leslie Madsen, a CPA tax preparer with experience from the Manhattan Study Commission, pledged to be a great addition to the advisory committee. Mayor Meis noted that a third TIF applicant, Andrew Sotero, was ineligible, though he mentioned possible discussions about expanding the committee.
The council also announced that the previously scheduled public hearing on the master fee schedule has been postponed and will be re-noticed for a future date. City offices will be closed on Friday, June 19th for Juneteenth. The next regular council meeting is scheduled for July 6th.
