The Belgrade City Council unanimously approved two resolutions at its April 20th meeting. Resolution 2026-5 created Lighting District 2446 for Prescott Ranch Phase 2, with no public protests received following the required notice period. Resolution 2026-6 renamed Depot Drive to Copper Ranch Road, a change requested by the county to eliminate a duplicate street name at Four Corners. The renamed road is located off Airway Boulevard near the Yellowstone Airport Plaza subdivision, with only two developments under construction affected by the change.

The council also heard a presentation from the Belgrade School District regarding two levies on the May 5th election ballot. District officials explained that Montana's funding model requires the state to cover 80 percent of the adequate-education amount, with local taxpayers providing the remaining 20 percent through voted levies. Both levies would fund a 2 percent across-the-board staff wage increase. For a $600,000 home, passage would cost $4.50 monthly or $54.07 annually. Ballots can be dropped at the district office on Weaver Street, Ridgeview Elementary, the Gallatin County Courthouse, or mailed by 8 PM on Election Day.

During public comment, resident Vivian Krause expressed opposition to a proposed downtown roundabout project, expressing concern about potential demolition of businesses. City Manager Neil Cardwell noted that an MDT open house is scheduled for Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM to discuss proposed road projects and address community questions.
