Belgrade City Council unanimously approved two resolutions at its April 7 meeting. The first, Resolution 2026-4, is a resolution of intent to rename Depot Drive to Copper Ranch Road. According to staff member Mr. Stein, the change is necessary because addresses requested through the county database for a forthcoming minor subdivision would duplicate existing addresses on a Depot Drive in Four Corners. County policy prohibits duplicate road names. Only two properties on Belgrade's Depot Drive are affected—neither has yet received certificates of occupancy—and only one road sign requires replacement. A public hearing on the final road name change is scheduled for April 20th.
The council also unanimously approved Resolution 2026-3 on second reading, which adds rental rates for library and community facility rooms to the city's master fee schedule. City Manager Neil Cardwell explained the fees are designed to be fully cost-recoverable for private room rentals. Public events held in partnership with the city remain free. Private rentals include staff time for preparation and cleanup, and at least one staff member will be on site during all private events for security and safety. Cardwell noted that an online reservation system for facility rentals, parks, and pavilions is now available. No public comment was received during the hearing.
The next city council meeting is April 20th.
